Basic Firearms Training (4-6 Hours)

This course is ideal for individuals with little or no prior firearms training. By enrolling in the Basic Firearms Training course, you’ll strengthen your skills and increase your chances of passing the official "G" course qualification. The course includes all classroom materials.

Range equipment is not included in the price. An additional fee is added to the rental of a firearm, ammunition, or any other equipment used at the range.

At the conclusion of this course, you will receive a Basic Firearms Safety Training Certificate, which you can use to obtain your Florida Concealed Carry Firearms License.

I just finished The Right Training D class and I gotta tell you I fill I'm better prepared for a Security Officers job. Mac will take you on a journey and make you think about what you would do. The class is fun, interesting and informative ( you will learn ). He go's over every question with the class with real life experience. Mac said no one has passed the test with 100% and he really enjoys saying it. I hope someone will soon make him eat his words lol.... Thank You Mac for The Right Training.

I’m going to begin this review with a simple statement. “ Mac has absolutely no clue “ Quick back story on me. I have an auto immune disease that literally causes me to go blind every 6-8 weeks. When it happens I can only see lights and shadows. Of course it kicked in the second day of class for my class D license. I had a conversation with Mac and he cut me no slack. The only option he gave me was to sit closer. By day 3 I had decided I was wasting my time I might have well of just thrown 200.00 out the window. I couldn’t see the board I couldn’t see the monitor I couldn’t read anything. Even Mac the bald gorilla in the room was a blur. I hung in there because even though I felt I was wasting my time I’ve never given up on anything in my life. By the end of day 3 I found myself answering questions on the test. I still thought I was wasting my time because I had no idea if I was getting the questions right or wrong. I had no visual aide. Mac kept pushing forward with the class and I felt I was being left behind but who am I to hold the class back. By day 4 I was completely blind and Mac never let up. He continued the class. Cut to day 5 end of class test results are in and I sat waiting to be called in to his office and told I’m the first one to fail his course. That didn’t happen. I actually scored a 98 on my exam. That’s when I realized Mac has no clue of his ability to teach. It’s something that he doesn’t even understand. I didn’t need to see the board I didn’t need to see the monitor Mac vocally taught me everything I needed to know. His ability to put you in situations and make you think for yourself is next level. I have nothing but respect for Mac and the way he teaches his students. If you are looking to get The Right Training go see Mac you will not be disappointed. I will be returning to get my G license (when my vision is better of course). Mac keep doing what you do partner, the security world is a better place because of you. I appreciate you Mac thank you. Now to the new students. When you walk in that door leave your feelings in the parking lot, bring a jacket if you get cold easy. Bring a cushion for your butt because the chairs are terrible lol. An no matter what you do, no matter the reason no matter what you think you need to do. DO NOT TAKE A PICTURE IN THAT CLASS ROOM !!!! No doubt I’ll be added to the stories he tells but I deserve it. Great instructor and facility. I will only go to TRT with Mac because he is the best around in this field and he holds himself and his students up to the highest standards! If you want to learn and get it done right go to TRT! I went for all my guard cards and couldn’t be more happier with my choice of academy.
