"G" License Annual Requalification Course (4 Hours)
Choosing The Right Training, LLC., to obtain your Annual Requalification "G" Armed Security license, students will gain an extensive and comprehensive understanding of the qualifications required to become a licensed security officer. With more than 40 years of collective expertise spanning the security industry, law enforcement, military service, and private investigations, our Chief Instructor will provide a detailed overview of the similarities and distinctions in firearms yearly requalification among law enforcement officers, correctional officers, and security officers. Also, TRT training courses meet and exceed the State of Florida "G" annual requalification curriculum. Class sizes are limited (max. 12) to ensure trainees are taught in a controlled, comfortable environment.
Class “G” Yearly Requalification:
Each student is responsible for reading and reviewing all course-related material. Your instructor will discuss general rules of firearms safety, and you will be expected to strictly abide by those rules throughout the entirety of this course. You will be required to attend classroom lectures that include the topics listed below. Upon completion of the classroom portion, you must complete a written examination that covers all the course content and pass the exam with a minimum score of 70%. You will then meet at a firing range facility to perform practical exercises using the type and caliber of handgun with which you intend to qualify. Students are required to show a minimum proficiency of 70% on the basic firearms course of fire. Students will fire for qualification using the department-approved course as found in Appendix A (Handgun). Instructors will have students fire three 48-round strings (one practice, two qualification), totaling 144 rounds. If a student qualifies during any round of shooting, they DO NOT have to complete extra strings and can use their qualifying score for certification. A student not qualifying at the end of 3 strings of fire will fail, and such failure will be noted by the instructor on the Certificate of Firearms Proficiency, and they will be required to take the course over.
